A luthier (/ˈluːtiər/ LOO-ti-ər) is someone who builds or repairs string instruments generally consisting of a neck and a sound box.

The word "luthier" comes from the French word luth, which means lute, a primitive stringed instrument.

Hello, my name Hans Boye Boyesen and I am a luthier.

Most folks may not know exactly what that is.

It means I am a guitar builder and certified repair and restoration technician.

I attended the acclaimed Galloup School of Lutherie and Guitar Repair in Big Rapids, Michigan where I received my training and certification.

I have been finding and “healing” guitars since I was a kid.
After having had the privilege of meeting Les Paul when I

was only nine, I developed a further passion to pursue playing

and learning about guitars and other fine fretted instruments.

I had the privilege to spend some time with Les on his 80th

birthday..."Thanks Les!"

Let me also add that I am an artist, woodcarver, songwriter,

musician and...  a die-a hard lover of stringed instruments...

favoring the fretted breed and sometimes fretless too.

Welcome to my shop and I hope to be of assistance to you by providing

top notch services which include the repair, restoration and building of

fine acoustic and solid body instruments...

Welcome to BornAgainGuitars.
